Newbie - The rPath Linux CD was not found in any of your CD

Dear Expert,

I have downloaded asteriskNOW-beta6-x86.iso and burned into a CD, when trying to install it I met the following:

“The rPath Linux CD was not found in any of your CD ROM Drives. …”

but I found rPath folder in the CD …

what’s I missed?

Please help

Thanks & Regards

i had the problem to, i ripped it first at 10x, then i tried it again at 4x and it worked with the new cd.

Try to burn it at the lowest cd possible. if that doesnt work try different brand of cd’s.

Yes, I tried to burn on 4x speed… but the same problem still occurs …

please help?

Thanks

Did you check the MD5 hash on the iso you downloaded before ripping it to a CD? Many time large downloads get corrupted and checking the hash will pick up on that.

Hi how to know that MD5 corrupted? …

might be your burner, I use a plextor dvd burner and have burned absolutely everything at full speed without any problems. but if it doesn’t work at lowest speed it is probably the file is corrupt or the cdrom drive on the computer you are installing on doesn’t work right. have fun with that.

srry for the double post

i checked the md5 on my iso before burning and it was fine…

i could never get centos5 to install either…im thinking maybe it is my cdwriter.

i would try it on a different cdwriter. please let us know what you find out this information is not on google when i was searching…

run a media check using the computer you are installing on, that will tell you if it can read the disk, if it passes its probably a problem with the other hardware. If it fails repeat the test using a different computer to see if it is the cd or the drive, just boot the install disk and when it asks to check the media select ok.

i burnt centos5 at work on a different computer and cdr, brought it up and it is installing just fine now.

im 99% sure that is probably your problem
