[NEWBIE QUESTION] Asterisk + SER? And OpenVPN?

  1. Is it worth combining * with OpenSER (iptel.org or openser.org)?

  2. What are the pros and cons?

  3. Has anyone experimented with such an integration?

  4. How openvpn comes into the picture? Is that security alone or something else? What is the benefit of having an astaro.org like stuff integrated with asterisk?

My apology in advance if some of the questions are quite rudimentary, being myself to this world of voip communications. Thanks in advance.
