OpenSER setup question

Hello all,

I am investigating a solution to large scale installation and we decided on OpenSER and Asterisk setup. I was reading documents on openser over the weekend and I have few question.

Can anyone can spare sometime and help me out with answers? any help is greatly appreciated.

  1. In OpenSER+Asterisk setup, Asterisk is just a Voicemail client. OpenSER takes care of registrations and call routing. AM i correct?

  2. I saw posts on RTP Proxy and Media proxy to handle NAT and RTP issues. If i install all 3 of this I should be able to use sip clients behind NATs and firewall with out a problem. Is this correct?
