So this will be my first attempt at setting up an Asterisk system for my home, so please bear with me. I have a little VoIP experience with Cisco products.
I’ve purchased a SIP trunk from AXVOICE and plan on terminating that trunk on my Asterisk system and installing a 2 port FXS card into my Cisco 2811 router running 15.x code and IPVOICE. Then I would plug in our standard analog phone into the FXS port on the router.
Is Asterisk able to work like this and is this the best way to handle this type of a setup?
