New installation - pri issue

i’m a new asterisk user and i am doing research on this product. i have just finished installing the base system and i am able to route calls using extensions with sip.

now i’m trying to connect an e1 pri line to perform test calls using asterisk.

my configurations are as follows.

by the way, i’m using an rj45 cable. is that correct? or do i need another cable? thanks in advance for the replies

make sure you use the correct pinouts for E1.

Well this is a new one… You have posted the configs which is great,
But you havent said what the problem is
and where you are
and what you are connected to.

With answers to these it may be possible to advise you a bit more.

Sorry for the late reply. Was away for the week. The problem is, my E1 card is still showing red, and so is my status on zap, which means I’ve got no signal. I am from Malaysia, and we are running on Net-5 EuroISDN. I am connecting straight from the telco.

Since you are using a Digium card, then just contact support@digium.com. They would be happy to help you get your card properly configured.

hi… thanks for all the replies… i just found out that the module for the card isn’t loaded. weird… i just downloaded trixbox 2.2 and it is working now… thanks again…

What problem are you having?
Can you post your configs?
What version of Asterisk/Zaptel?
Where are you/ what provider are you tring to connect to?
