Need Help: Which laptop brand/model able to install Asterisk

Hi,

Anyone know which brand and model of laptop 's have no hardware/drivers issues install Asterisk ?

IBM laptop, Dell laptop… ?

You wont be able to run any of the digium/sangoma hardware on a laptop but if it is totally a VOIP install any newer major brand should work fine. It may be best to ask in a forum for whatever linux distro you are going to use as asterisk has no hardware dependencies at all. Best bit of advice I can give is to spend csome extra cash to make sure it has a 7200 rpm hard drive as that is the slowest link in any new laptop. If on a budget I would sacrifice RAM and CPU power to upgrade to the 7200 rpm disk if need be.
