MWI Problem - Cisco 7960/7940 and Aastra 9133i

Hi Everyone,

I am having problem with MWI on all my phones. I have cisco 7960/7940 and aastra 9133i. This form talks about SIP 8.3 Firmware causing this problem. but, what about my aastra phone then? is there any solution? what is the recommended firmware for cisco phones?

i tried mailbox=101, mailbox=101@default and finally mailbox=101@device.

Please give me some inputs to get this fixed.

it’s mailbox@context. make sure you have the right context (as defined in voicemail.conf). remember that if you have something like delete=yes then you probably won’t get voicemail.

I did tried mailbox=101@default. and have below in voicemail.conf

[default]
101 => 1023,Sekhar,sekhar_lakkoju@yahoo.com,attach=yes

i dont have delete=yes option in my voicemail.conf file. Is there anything else i need to try?

Thanks for your help. My Aastra 9133i is showing MWI now. I also added notifymimetype=application/simple-message-summary command to my sip.conf.

BUT, my cisco phone is still not working. Is there a solution for that? I am using Firmware 8.3. Do i need to go back to 8.2 to make this working?
