MoH issues: RTCP SR transmission error

MoH issues: RTCP SR transmission error

I have a small issue involving Music On Hold (MoH) and need some help here.

I have an Asterisk 1-4.0 running with some SIP endpoints connected to it. I also have a SIP trunk connecting to another SIP-compliant server (not Asterisk). Here is a quick setup and naming of the environment:

(SIP usr1)----(AST140)—sip-----(SIP-SRVR)—(SIP usr2)

Here is the problem …

SIP user1 dials SiP user2, RTP converstation begins. When SIP user1 places call on hold, SIP user2 hears MoH music. Great!

Well, if SIP user2 dials SiP user1, RTP converstation begins. When SIP user1 places call on hold, SIP user2 hears NO MoH music.

At the console I get the following messages:

RTCP SR transmission error, rtcp halted
[Mar 1 22:42:14] NOTICE[3244]: sched.c:283 ast_sched_del: Attempted to delete nonexistent schedule entry 724!
[Mar 1 22:42:32] ERROR[3244]: rtp.c:2368 ast_rtcp_write_rr: RTCP RR transmission error to, rtcp halted No such file or directory
[Mar 1 22:42:32] NOTICE[3244]: sched.c:283 ast_sched_del: Attempted to delete nonexistent schedule entry 738!

Any help or suggestions here would be great! Thanks

solved it.

It was a SIP re-invite issue enabled on one of the SIP peers.

I’m havin a similar problem.

When i call internaly i can hear MOH
But when i call from outside to asterisk box (using sip trunk) it is silent.

Log shows that musiconhold in started, but i can’t hear anything.

Could it be a nat problem?

Thanks for any clues
