Mobile SIP Client for Cell Phones

Hi All,

Does anyone know if there is a mobile sip (or even IAX) client for cell phones such as a Blackberry? I’m trying to see if I can use my data plan with my blackberry to hook into our Asterisk PBX system. I’ve tried searching for the last week and I cannot find anything out there.

If there isn’t one are there any open source java projects that someone could suggestion that might be able to be ported to run on platforms such as a blackberry?

Try Fring…Its an open source sip client for WM phones, I am not sure about Blackberrys. I tried it with my phone and the voice quality was horrible. I live in the sticks so I am not running on Cingular’s 3G network. But worth a try atleast

Thanks for the pointer… I just looked through their forums and they don’t currently support the blackberry either.

Anyone else know any good SIP clients for a Blackberry? :smile:
