Linking two Asterisk servers via TE110P cards

Good morning,
For testing purpose, we would like to connect two Asterisk together via two Digium TE110P cards.
The cards have been linked via a link crossed this way :
1 —> 5
2 —> 4
4 —> 2
5 —> 1

The problem is : once connected via the link, both leds keeps blinking RED, and cards doesn’t seem to exchange any datas ; this have been confirmed by enabling the pri debuging.

Thanks for your help and suggestion.

Our configuration :
system : FC5
Asterisk : 1.2.9
zaptel : 1.2.6

Conf files of the first server :

#zaptel.conf
span = 1,0,0,ccs,hdb3
bchan = 1-15,17-31
dchan = 16
loadzone = fr
defaultzone = fr

#zapata.conf
[channels]
language = fr
switchtype = euroisdn
pridialplan = unknown
prilocaldialplan = unknown
signalling = pri_net
group = 0
channel = 1-15
channel = 17-31

Conf files of the second one :

#zaptel.conf
span = 1,1,0,ccs,hdb3
bchan = 1-15,17-31
dchan = 16
loadzone = fr
defaultzone = fr

#zapata.conf
[channels]
language = fr
switchtype = euroisdn
pridialplan = unknown
prilocaldialplan = unknown
signalling = pri_cpe
group = 0
channel = 1-15
channel = 17-31

there seem to be different ideas over crossover cables !!

thanks for your help,
We tried all the crossing possibilities given, but none succeed ;

We changed our motherboards and now we are using Asus Motherboards with an Intel 945G chipset as recommended in another topic of this forum, but this doeasn’t change anything.

we have no more ideas ; any suggestion is welcome !

Thank you.

Hi,

1-4
2-5
4-1
5-2

works for me with a TE405P with two spans back-to-back, worth a try maybe.

Steve

I would try a loopback plug and see if the cards green up
