I’ve been running Asterisk on FreeBSD for about 3 years now. But it appears the latest FreeBSD port of Asterisk has a zaptel version that does not support wcfxo modules so I can use my X101P analog PCI card. This setup has worked very reliably for me for a long time and I’m reluctant to give it up but the porters at FreeBSD are moving in another direction.
So will moving to Linux allow me to use the newest version of Asterisk+Zaptel which will still support this old hardware? IS Fedora a good distro to use with Asterisk?
