Issue on a Switchvox pbx

I have a Switchvox PBX. Most phones in this system work without issue. In this network, there is no NAT between PBX and phones. There is a NAT between PBX and Flowroute, but I don’t believe that is the issue here. The symptom is that some of these phones attempt to call a phone number (10 digit dialling) and the call will result in fast busy. Immediately, they hang up and try again and call goes through. Here is a capture of the bad call:

Response:

The call (when it goes through) looks like all other SIP calls do. I am at a loss here for how to troubleshoot this.

What you’ve provided is a normal start of a call, well an attempt, from a phone. The INVITE came in and we challenged it for authentication. It is then up to the phone to re-send the INVITE with credentials.

Sorry. Thanks for making me look again (I like the learning curve…). Here is the last packet in this bad call. caller hears “fast busy”

And here is the next call (continuation after the 401 message). This is the one that works. I can provide more if needed

That doesn’t really include any additional information.

Since it is the responsibility of the phone, though, to do the call again with INVITE it could very well be the phone in some capacity - a bug that has since been resolved. Not really anything else I can add.

Thanks. I’ll look at the phone firmware to see if that may be the cause.
