We have at last set up our Asterisk server using the DIVA PRI and it as all working fine. I have a colleague who has set up another asterisk server on his public IP, is it possible for me to phone him using his public ip address i.e. 202@123.123.123.123 from my asterisk server, without using any 3rd party.

Maybe I’m being a bit naive but if you know the ip address and the persons extension should you not be able to call it direct, if so how?

Thanks, but maybe I am being a little simplistic here, for instance if you were running an asterisk server and you gave me a card with your contact details on and say your voip was 202@yourserver.com and let it ring you?

Yes.
You would have to enable anonymous connections and have an extension of that number.
