Installing AsteriskNow stuck at localhost login:

Hi team,

I am new at Asterisk, and avoiding linux commands, prefering to use a GUI.

I downloaded the AsteriskNow installer today and installed it on a PC as the instructions say.

Everything went ok up just after rebooting.

I have ended up with the following detail on my screen:

"AsteriskNow 1.7.1

To configure AsteriskNow with Asterisk-GUI, point your browser to 192.168.1.66:8088/static/config/index.html

localhost login:"

If I type in the root user and password I get

“lastlogin: Mon Jan 1 17:20:36 on tty1
[root@localhost ~]#”

Can someone please take me forward from here?

It was this simple

You should be able to use another computer on your network that has a web browser, and type the following address:

192.168.1.66:8088/static/config/index.html

This should get you to the GUI configuration
