Hi, i have asterisk 1.8 on my ubuntu server , now i want to use gtalk for outbound calls, but when i try to install the chan_gtalk Channel Driver and the res_jabber Resource module, i see all in XXX i installed the dependencies $ sudo apt-get install libiksemel-dev libssl-dev, but how ever is XXX, one question may i install firts the depencies before install asterisk for this work ?
I don’t know how these packages have been constructed - they seem to be a mix of source and binaries from your descriptions.
If installing from source, you must fully install the dependencies before running ./configure, then run make menuconfig. menuconfig tells you which dependencies are missing when you select a disabled item.
