I have seen there is a common issue without solution:
forums.digium.com/viewtopic.php? … annel+span
and
forums.digium.com/viewtopic.php? … annel+span
and
forums.digium.com/viewtopic.php? … annel+span
and more all around all language forums (english, spanish, portuguese…) in the world…
So. What the hell are these NOTICE?
Why it restart the E1?
How to solve it?

some data:

  • Debian etch, kernel 2.6.18-smp
  • I have it tested in many PC with difernt arquitectures
  • I have disable all unnecesary things i have found in my BIOS
  • my TE110P does not share IRQ. It is all OK when i do one:
    lspci -vv
  • and at least this is my zaptel.conf:
span=1,1,0,ccs,hdb3,crc4
bchan=1-15
dchan=16
bchan=17-31
loadzone=es
defaultzone=es

I have it tested with crc4 and without it
and this my zapata.conf

I would be very grateful if some one can help me.

I think it is time to solve this common issue that i have seen without solution in a lot of forums.

Thank you very much in advance. and excuses my horrible english.

Hi

You need to run a pattern test with a loopback plug, I have only seen this on fauty cards. or a very poor quality e1 link.

Also it would be worth contacting digium support as you may need an RMA number to get a replacement card

Ian

Yes put a T1 loopback plug into the port and see if it ever goes into alarm. If it does not, something is wrong with the cabling or at the telco end. If it does go into alarm, contact Digium support at +1-256-428-6161 or support@digium.com
