I thought this was a simple thing but either I am not searching correctly or the posts I have read I am not understanding. I am seeing references to an “Asterisk GUI” but I can’t seem to find a download link or instructions on how to install just this component.
Is there a separately installable GUI that comes with Asterisk or this is a third party add-on or is this only part of Asterisk Now? I have Asterisk installed and working fine, I would just like to find a better way to manage the application rather than changing text files to make things work.
Is there such a thing? If so, where do I find it and how do I install it? I am running Asterisk 1.4.6 on Suse 10.2
Thanks
Works with Asterisk 1.4
svn checkout svn.digium.com/svn/asterisk-gui/trunk asterisk-gui
I have never installed it though, so there is no guarantees.

Have a look here:
astrecipes.net/?n=217
I have downloaded the GUI but it fails with a blank screen i.e. no user name or password boxes.
Also the installer after check config come up with this path…
but the directory “static” doe not exist and was not created by the install ??
Maybe this is what is wrong, what should I do ?
I use FreePBX - it’s a web based frontend for Asterisk that I find works very well & makes quite complex PBX features a doddle to configure.
It’s also, I believe, the GUI component used in the Tribox compilation, though I’ve always installed the OS, Asterisk, Zaptel & Freepbx seperately.
It’s a free download from www.freepbx.org
