Error loading module chan_gtalk liksemel cannot object

I get the following error when asterisk tries to load chan_gtalk.so

Error loading module ‘chan_gtalk’: libiksemel.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Have you installed iksemel? Looks like not.

I have installed iksemel and it installed in /usr/lib/

  1. libiksemel.3.0.1 and two link
  2. libiksemel.so and libsermel.so.3 to the first file

I did that prior to compiling asterisk 1.4.2 and have recompiled it several times

I’m still having trouble compiling on an aging system. But I’d use strace to see which file it tries to open.
