Echo problem, BUT only on inbound calls

I’ve got AAH running with a TDM400P on normal British telecom phone lines. Whenever someone calls in the person picking up the phone has a very loud echo, which fades away for a while, then returns a few minutes later. Oddly though if you make an outbound call, no echo at all. I’ve experimented with FXOTune, and the TX/RX gains, echo cancellation etc. No joy.

Any thoughts?

Can you post the relevant section of your zapata.conf?

Hi stofell,

apologies for not replying sooner, I was despatched to the wilds of Aberdeen!

The zapata.conf is below, I did try various combinations of echocancel, and echotraining, also from voip-wiki and by using the gain meter I tried some rxgain, txgain values.

As an aside I don’t think faxdetect=no, has any effect!

Cheers
Gordon
