the link on the official and all other sites are not working even the torrents are not working

You can dowload freebsd from www.freebsd.org
However, asterisk generally has less problems under linux and is better supported. It might be better for you to try a distribution of linux to play around with it.
I’ve always used the floppy disk method for the few times I have installed freebsd. Mind you I’m on fibre optics so i got a big pipe. My first time was on cable and it still worked well. Good Luck
