Hi Im new here. I recently installed Vmware workstation 6 and I am now trying to download Asterisk in an Ubuntu virtual machine. I have some instructions from my previous VoIP class and it told me to download the files from ftp.digium.com. I could not do a wget ftp.digium.com nor access it via web browser. Is there an alternative site on where to download the tarballs with the latest Asterisk files?

Did the class mention that sometimes files may move and by looking at downloads.asterisk.org/pub/telephony/

I actually didn’t know I could go to asterisk.org to download the stuff. and yeah I see the big box too lol! 
oh well. I’ll let the next class know about this.
