Hi,
There is any way to disable the ‘beep-sound’ that is heard when a call has been put On-Hold.
It’s the test scenario,
User A calls User B
User B answer and puts User A On Hold
User A hears Music On Hold
User B hears a beep sound reminding him that User A is On Hold (that beep-sound is like a tone that is heard at the background of the call)
Thanks in advance.
You didn’t say which version of Asterisk. However that probably doesn’t matter, as this beep is not generated by Asterisk. You will need to look in the documentation for your phone.

Hi David,
The problem (beep-sound) arises in all phone brands, I did the tests in our laboratory with snom and yealink phones (Asterisk 1.6.2.15 as pBX).
Regards.

is it possible that you have your music on hold set to play a beep?
When you put a phone on hold does the console show music on hold starting?

Hi Mazzic,
The beep sound (every 30 seconds) is heard by the person who placed the call on hold.
Regards.
