Device Does Not Match ACL Error

Hey guys,

I’m new to Asterisk and I’ve set up AN in my home environment to use as a test bed to possibly move into my office.

I’m using Voxee as a service provider and I have a Cisco 186 SIP ata device.

It seems that Asterisk is picking up the device but I am not understanding what this error means exactly. Error is:

[Aug 11 16:14:50] NOTICE[2685] chan_sip.c: Registration from ‘100 sip:ciscoATA1@192.168.2.21’ failed for ‘192.168.2.81’ - Device does not match ACL

I’ve checked all the ATA setting but it still seems im missing something… possibly pointing ATA Media port to the wrong place?

Any help is great appreciated. This looks pretty interesting if I can get this up an running.

thanks,
-fred-

Did you define your peer in sip.conf ? Asterisk before 1.4.10 shows this error instead of peer not found, so peer not found could be the real cause, see the Asterisk changelog for details.
