Develop Software for Asterisk

I have just installed my first Asterix PBX in my office and I would like to develop a dialer for outlook using .NET 3.5

Can anybody point me in the right direction on how to send and receive commands with Asterisk?

Also look into the Asterisk.NET project which is a .NET API that handles the calls to AMI. It hasn’t yet been updated to Asterisk 1.4 but will be in coming months as I need it for my internal upgrade in early summer.
