hi i have question for you???

CPU: Dual Intel Xeon 3.2 GHz

RAM: 2 GB

HDD: 70 GB

this my system in that i want to run asterisk without any codex
how many concurrent calls i can handle ??
any one idea ???

Hmmm - maybe you should have a read of the documentation first.

Do I assume that you mean you are running Asterisk with no transcoding? You must use codecs to encapsulate voice traffic. So do you means that you are using one codec for everything (i.e. G.711) with no transcoding to any other (such as GSM or G.729)?

There are a lot of variables which will go into determining your concurrent call capacity… this link has a compilation of a lot of experiences. I found it very helpful.

This question is posted often and regulary, But in all the posts no one ever says what is a better question and that is .

“I want to handle X concurrent calls , and I will be doing X with them”
