I’m hoping somebody else uses the Cisco SPA 502G series IP phones with Asterisk as I’m having a bit of trouble getting them fully configured for my environment.
I wish to duplicate some of the features in our current key system and the feature that is holding me back right now is the “Transfer directly to voicemail”. Right now if I transfer the call to somebody who wishes to be left alone it will ring the set number of rings then offer voicemail. I tried using *xxx (where the x’s are the extension) but the phone keeps intercepting these and only sending the star and the last digit.
I also wonder if it is possible to create custom soft buttons for this function that will allow my users to select a destination from the directory.xml.
