I’m running Asterisk from a USB stick and would like to save all the voicemail files to a hard disk. Is this possible? How do I go about doing this?

sure. don’t remember where they are saved by default, but look around and find where they are now. add your hard drive and format/partition it. change your /etc/fstab to mount the HD partition on top of the directory where they are now, and voila…
