CAS Signalling and Avaya

I have an E1 Link coming into an Avaya Box. It has a DS1 Card. Along with an analog card. My objective is to replace thsi entire Avaya box with an asterisk setup. I am trying to set up CAS signalling on my single E1/T1 digium card. I installed things in the following order

  1. libpri-1.4.11
  2. dahdi-linux-complete-2.4.0+2.4
  3. openr2-1.3.0.tar
  4. asterisk-1.6.2
    My system.com is as follows

/etc/dahdi/system.conf

dchan = 16

when i do a service dahdi restart i get the following error

Possible causes:
dchan is being used on a BRI span (use hardhdlc)
Signaling is being assigned to channel 16 of an E1 CAS span
FAILED

My configuration of the DS1 card in Avaya is as follows

Can someone help me with my chand_dahdi.conf and system.conf.

Hi Arshana
I think you should remove dchan and just let bchan=> 1-30
So , Please find my working setup below for same usage with Avaya in France
/etc/asterisk/chan_dahdi.conf :

Tell me if it works . Here i don’t have caller id and so on with this conf
