Can H.323 voice gateway configured with asterisk?

i have read that Asterisk supports H.323 voip protocol. but i was unable to find out the details of configuring a H.323 client with it.

Currently i’m successfully using both SIP and IAX clients (soft phones and sip voice gateways as well) with my Asterisk svr. No problem with that.

Now i want to configure my old VOIP gateway that supports H.323 not SIP. Could this be possible…? Where do i create usernames, passwords & etc… for H323…clients… like i have done in SIP.conf for SIP?

Do anyone know good references regarding this…?
