Call Files don't seem to do anything - no output in CLI

Hello,

I have an ATA186 on extension 506. I use the following call file:

Channel: SIP/506
Callerid: 5051234567
MaxRetries: 5
RetryTime: 300
WaitTime: 45
Context: custom-count2four
Extension: s
Priority: 1

I have a context "custom-count2four" in my extensions_custom.conf file. I "mv" the call file to the /var/spool/asterisk/outgoing directory, and it disappears from the outgoing directory, but nothing happens in the CLI, and the call doesn't occur.

I am logged into the asterisk box as "root" and modules.conf has autoload=yes.

I am using Trixbox 1.1.1, which appears to be Asterisk 1.2.9.1.

Hopefully someone can tell me what I'm doing wrong. :frowning:

Is this a hard problem to fix? I assume call files are a working feature, correct?

Should I expect to see anything in the CLI when the call file is executed?

Are call files supported in my version of Asterisk?

 -TM

Yes they were supported for this version of Asterisk. There could have been a bug regarding call files with that version but I doubt it.

what exactly are you trying to accomplish with this call file? it does not look like it would do anything to me, so maybe it is doing exactly that.
