Best softphone for asterisk

Hi all,

I’m looking for some softphone working great with asterisk, I want the following functionalities :

• need one working on windows and linux or 2 different but compatible with each other regarding video codec
• need to have a list of buddies connected to asterisk with their status
• video support

I’m open to all suggestion, I have several versions of asterisk but the one with ldap support is a trunk version.

• Ekiga. : need cvs version to work with buddies from asterisk hints, also not even in beta stage, hard to compile on windows (no one have done this to the trunk version for month)
  • KiAX.
  • LinPhone : work only on linux, I’m testing it but can’t make the buddies list work for now
  • I Hear U.
  • Twinkle. : no video support
  • WengoPhone (WiKi).
  • KCall.
  • KPhone

I’ll try the others but don’t the asterisk team knows what is working best with their software ?
