Softphone

Hi Folks,

Does the Asterisk distribution come with softphones? If so, are there versions for both Microsoft Windows, and Linux? If not, is there a recommendation for a softphone that works on both Microsoft Windows and Linux, or recommendations of one of each?

We’ve used Ninja, X-Lite (Bria) and Zoiper. I believe the last two have Windows and Linux support.

You’ve used Ninja, X-Lite (Bria) and Zoiper, but do you have any preferences? Were any outstanding either positively or negatively? Did any have any glaring deficiencies or commendable merits?

Are there any that integrate with Active Directory, so that the users telephone profile is established when they log on to the workstation?
