Hi,
Basically, asterisk is the voip engine, asterisknow is asterisk+GUI
So there is no basic difference. The gui configure asterisk through a DB, that’s the main difference and you can give more services integrated. But for pure voip it’s the same.
As for high call volumes, that’s more related on the hardware and the config you have to do than on differences between asterisk and asterisk+GUI like asterisk now.
