Asterisk speaking IVR

Does asterisk have a way to create IVR base on your client answers?

Example…
Machine: How can I help you today? You can say “speak to a rep” or “what are your hours?”

Client: What are your hours?

Machine: Our hours are …

Is there a way for Asterisk to parse sentences base on client voice ?

Asterisk has support for third party speech recognition engines. I think most of them require the responses to be selected from a relatively small number so specific responses, rather than being arbitrary speech.

Continuous, speaker independent, speech recognition is still, in my view, something that only humans can do.

Please remember that Asterisk is a tool kit. You are responsible for assembling the tools into something useful.
