i would like to ask if it is possible to get a phonebook in my asterisk 11, no gui.
You can build a phonebook using php mysql and asterisk and integrate a click to dial solution, i have done it before
i was thinking something more simpler and less dependent on other applications apart from asterisk.
One biggest advantage of Asterisk is that can interact with different s programming language, witch give you the power of build powerful apps and solutions, so take advantage of that
You can develop one by your own… if you have good understanding of PHP (for GUI), Asterisk AMI (CLI) and XML (for the Hardphones you are using in your premises).
Alternatively, you may try open source solutions like Dial Fox (http://www.a-enterprise.ch/content/view/220/111/).
Yet Alternatively, you may try commercial products like FonB (http://aptus.com).
Everyone of them has it’s own positives and negatives. Dial Fox as per our own testing, has some bugs and compatibility issues. FonB is not yet released though looks good feature-wise.
