I am a small business owner with some network exp

I currently have vonage with phone and fax and also 3 skype numbers
we have some problems like skype can’t transfer to other numbers and every so often we get disconnected with skype while talking

I would really like to roll all of this stuff into something more whole and together

I have a linksys WRT router and have a custom firmware on it currently

I can aford to put a few hundred into getting this done if I need to but here is my big question

would asterisk work for my situation and what is the best way of getting help on doing this?

as long as you can lose the skype contact (for now at least) then Asterisk is likely to be a fit. to be honest, if you need a PBX, Asterisk is a fit :smiley:

the best place to start ? at the top of this forum is a sticky from MuppetMaster … read that, download the book and decide what you want to do from there. by all means come back and ask questions/advice when you have a basic idea of where you’re going to go.

I thought asterisk worked with skype does it not?
