I tried installing certified asterisk 11 on CentOS 7.
asterisk is starting, but when i run the command : -
service asterisk status
it shows Asterisk exit with code 1, Asterisk is restarting.
Please advise.

That looks like a crash, although I didn’t think you would get exit 1 for that.
In that case, you will need to get a backtrace, as per https://wiki.asterisk.org/wiki/display/AST/Getting+a+Backtrace
It was the problem with selinux, as it was enabled and asterisk was not able to write the /var/run/asterisk.ctl file.
