Asterisk DAHDI yellow alarm

Hi there!
I have:

Linux asterisk 2.6.18-238.19.1.el5
Asterisk 1.8.5.0
DAHDI Version: 2.5.0 Echo Canceller: HWEC, MG2

Digium, Inc. Wildcard TE410P/TE412P quad-span T1/E1/J1 card 3.3V (rev 02)

Span 1 is connected to Panasonic TDE-200, span 2 - ISDN provider 1. Trying to connect ISDN provider 2 to Asterisk span 3:

If SPAN 3 is in Yellow alarm then the far side is not seeing a good link from your card, but you are able to see a good link from them. Typically I see this when there are cabling issues.

Is it possible provider 1 and provider 2 do not have a synchronized clock? What if you change span 3 to have the highest priority when recovering the clock?

Thank you for your answer.
Here are some other details:
First of all I’ve tried to disable span 1 and span 2 and setting span 3 as:

# Span 3: TE2/0/3 "T2XXP (PCI) Card 0 Span 3" (MASTER) HDB3/CCS
span=3,1,0,ccs,hdb3
# termtype: unknown
bchan=63-77,79-93
dchan=78
echocanceller=mg2,63-77,79-93

Then I’ve checked span 3 with a “short cirquit” adaptor - status went green.

The ISDN provider has a small 4E1 multiplexor at my side. I’ve checked with tester what are Tx wires - 4 and 5. So I’ve made a cross-over E1 cable at Asterisk side:
… …1…2…3…4…5
Multiplexor side : white-orange, orange, white-green, blue, white-blue
Asterisk side:… blue, white-blue, white-green, white-orange, orange

Or should I do it like?
support.red-fone.com/downloads/t … _Cable.bmp

And another fact - now Panasonic is connected to multiplexor whith a short patch-cord. Asterisk is about 30 far meters from the multiplexor. Can it be the problem?
I’ve also checked that cable with my first ISDN provider, who also set up a multiplexor at my side - and it worked.

Any ideas?
Thanks

UPD:
Made cross as shown here:
support.red-fone.com/downloads/t … _Cable.bmp

Now it looks like span goes up and down constantly:

Have no idea what it is :confused:

Cheers
Seems that I’ve managed to solve the problem.
I’ve built another asterisk server with a 2-span Digium card and set it next to ISDN provider 2 multiplexor and the span immediately went UP.
So I’m gonna replace the old 30 meter patch-cord with a new one or find what wires in the cable could be bad.
David55, thanks again for your help.

Oh, my bad - sruffell, thank you for your help :wink:

bichara: I’m glad it looks like it worked out for you and thank you for closing the loop in this post.

Cheers agian, guys!
The cable turned out not to be the problem.
As I’ve mentioned, I have 4 span card with 2 spans working at the moment.
Only in span 1 on my 4-port card the light goes green and span goes up!
In span2, span3, span4 with any config the light is Yellow.
TDE-200 and ISDN-1 work well in any span.
I’ve also tried installing my card in another server - the result is absolutely the same - yellow alarm in any span but in the first one.
Seems to be kinda hardware problem I suppose.

Check the connection details required by the PRI telecom provider.
You are usinig crc4, try to work without crc4 (some telecom provider do not work with crc4 option).
