Asterisk codec translation

Sorry for posting again.
I installed asterisk 1.4.25 and asterisk 1.6.1.1 on the same PC.
First I installed asterisk 1.4.25:
When I “core show translation”, I got
g723 gsm ulaw alaw g726aal2 adpcm slin lpc10 g729 speex ilbc g726 g722
g723 - - - - - - - - - - - - -
gsm - - 2 2 2 2 1 4 - - - 3 -
ulaw - 3 - 1 2 2 1 4 - - - 3 -
alaw - 3 1 - 2 2 1 4 - - - 3 -
g726aal2 - 3 2 2 - 2 1 4 - - - 1 -
adpcm - 3 2 2 2 - 1 4 - - - 3 -
slin - 2 1 1 1 1 - 3 - - - 2 -
lpc10 - 3 2 2 2 2 1 - - - - 3 -
g729 - - - - - - - - - - - - -
speex - - - - - - - - - - - - -
ilbc - - - - - - - - - - - - -
g726 - 3 2 2 1 2 1 4 - - - - -
g722 - - - - - - - - - - - - -

It seems OK.

And the I uninstalled 1.4.25 and installed 1.6.11
When I “core show translation”, I got:
Translation times between formats (in microseconds) for one second of data

Why the results are so different?
Is my config wrong?
For both I only did “make samples”.
