Does anyone know how or have documentation of how to configure an ARD(Automatic Ring Down) for asterisk extensions? Also is it possible to have the ARD ring other numbers when the line is picked not just internal extensions?
Thanks,
Tim

I assume you are talking about analogue extensions.
I’m not sure, but I’d try defining an s extension. If it works, there will be no additional restrictions on where the call can go.
SIP phones will need some configuration on the phone.
Yes is like using the POTS lines but I would like to have some asterisk extensions that when you pick up either of the extensions it rings the other without having to dial at all. I have found the link below but have not been able to get it to work. If I were to order ring downs to brokers could I interface that into the asterisk system pointing to certain extensions?

For a POTS line or analogue extension, I would expect the example to work. For a SIP extension, you would need to get the phone to dial with an empty user part - dialtone is not generated centrally for SIP calls - the call setup doesn’t start until you’ve entered enough digits. You may find it easier to directly configure the destination in the SIP phone, although note that in Asterisk extensions and devices are not the same, so the extension can be configured to do lots of things in the dialplan.
