Asterisk addons

I install freePB but not able to install addons from Module Admin I get this message:

The following error(s) occurred processing the uploaded file:

* Filename not in correct format: must be modulename-version.tar.gz (eg. custommodule-0.1.tar.gz)

You should fix the problem or select another file and try again.

Help Thanks

Hi,

Could you please try from this below link. I guess that the relevant package hasn’t installed properly.

Can you verify which version are you trying to install.

svn.debian.org/wsvn/pkg-voip/freepbx-modules

Thank you for your response, I’m new at this system and I just follow the asterisk instructions so I install Library
ISO
AsteriskNOW 1.5.0 32-bit
ISO Image

and

try this addons ver Asterisk 1.6.2
Tarball
Add-Ons 1.6.2.0
Source Tarball

how do I use the link you send me ? sorry about my ignorance on the link

Thanks

I have seen this a few times… Try uploading an older module of the same item like if your trying to install backup 2.5.1.7 and you get the error try uploading 2.5.0.5 and it will work. The free PBX web site has an area that has older and newer versions of all their modules soyou can download 20 differrent version. Stick with the same version like 2.5 if you have free PBX version 2.5 do not try and load 2.308 on a version 2.5 of FreePBX…

Hope this helps.

Michael,

I’m looking at the subversions and none of them are the same as freepbx it looks like they handle a diferent sequence and don’t know how to match them
