Asterisk 1.4.2 dial plan question

I am a newbie to the asterisk world.

I have a sip provider for US calls, would like a prefix of 001 added to all phone numbers. I would like the users to dial 8555-555-5555.

How can I setup a dial plan to remove the 8 and add the 001 to the phone number? I know that {exten:1} removes the 8, but how can I add the 001?

Thanks

Eric

Hi,

I believe that you just put 001{EXTEN:1} in the dial statement. That should add 001 to the number and remove the 8.

Hope this helps,

Ross
