Asteriks-gui sip.conf vs users.conf

Hello guys!

I need help in figuring out the following problem, i been stuck for couple of days now. :frowning: :frowning: :frowning:

I installed a clean asterisk-1.6.1.1.tar.gz on a gentoo linux. After that i was able to create my users in sip.conf and make calls.

Then i heard about asteriks gui and i downloaded and successfully installed asterisk-gui-2.0.4.tar.gz

Now when a visit an admin gui page i am able to create users but they are being written to users.conf file and therefore my asteriks server doesnt recognize this users, “sip show users” only shows the users that i previously manually wrote into the sip.conf.

What do i need to do in order to make gui work properly?

ANY HELP WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!

Delete the GUI and continue manually configuring.

that would be nice, but i need to provide a gui for the end user.

In that case, don’t do any manual configuration.

Also note that most, if not all Asterisk GUIs, in a generic sense, are off topic here. AsteriskNow, which I think is the packaged version with AsterikGUI has its own forum on this server and others have their own servers.
