AsterFax - how is IAXModem configured to answer the call?

Hey guys,

I have Asterisk 1.4 setup running AsterFax, running on Fedora Core 6. I have configure a trunk from a pstn line (analogue phone line just for testing purposes), have added an inbound route and routed it to an extension. The extension is set for IAXModem.

Ok, when i try and receive a fax, all the IAXModem does is ring, it doesn’t actually pick up the call, as if it doesn’t know what to do with it.

Any ideas where i’m going wrong?

Fax detection is not enabled on the extension and the inbound route.

I’ve looked on the interweb for help and i’ve searched this forum and many others but to no success.

Any help would be hugely appreciated.

Regards,

Jamie

Ok, update. This was because the AsterFax service kept kicking out due to multiple service instances. Silly mistake indeed. Now the server starts but i get this problem:

11:34:12,766 ERROR Unable to set property ‘channeldriver’ on class org.asteriskjava.manager.event.RegistryEvent: no setter

This error is bugging me as i’m not sure what to do about it. All the channels are correct. I’ve double-checked the AsterFax.xml file.

Any ideas?

Thanks
