app_konference latency

Hi guys, we’ve used MeetMe for channel bridging for years, but it no longer suits our requirements.

We need to be able to create our conferences on the fly, and we are not able to use zaptel or ztdummy.

I’ve been playing around with app_konference and it does 100% exactly what we want but I have noticed it has really bad lag.

This is on an empty server that can usually handle stacks of calls, and with only 2 people in the conference.

The lag is about 3-5 seconds.

We’re using g729 on both legs, but tried with GSM and ulaw and get the same lag.

Has anyone else had this trouble? Is there anything I can do to fix this?

im using G711.alaw and its better then ok.

I use app_conference as the media bridge for a very high capacity virtual dialing platform. We have 0 latency in conference setup.
