I’m trying to install asterisk-1.8.0 but i get this error when i execute make
Where to download the libxml2 development packages???
i install libxml-2.3.7.i386.rpm and libxml2-devel-2.3.7.i386.rpm but I can’t install asterisk-1.8.x

Please, what i need?? I had running an asterisk-1.4.x in that CPu for the moment but i want to upgrade to 1.8.x

??

What’s the full output when make fails?

What distribution (Linux, BSD, ?) are you using?

asterisk: libxml2.so.2: no version information available (required by asterisk)
asterisk: libxml2.so.2: no version information available (required by asterisk)
Unable to connect to remote asterisk (does /var/run/asterisk/asterisk.ctl exist?)

How i installed asterisk using this line
./configure --disable-xmldoc
and now is installed but i want to know if disabling xmldoc what features i’m loosing?

I’m using linux fedora 8 (fc8)

You’re losing CCBS/CCNR and Calling Party identification updates.

Cheers.

Please, what can i install??
Where download the required file??

I try everyting and i can’t success. Is my first time installing asterisk-1.8.x

-.-’ I wrote you on top of this page.

Ahh, I do see the Linux distribution, Fedora Core 8.

I don’t see the make output. If you’re going to file a build issue on the issue tracker (issues.asterisk.org), you’re going to need that.

Cheers.
