What happens if the G729 codec licenses are exceeded?


our company has 30 licenses for the G279 codec and I have several questions concerning the codec:
What happens if these licenses are exceeded?
Will the exceeding of the licenses leave error messages in the log file?
Is there anything I must configure to log the exceeding of the licenses?

It’s an Asterisk 1.2 installation.


I don’t know about logging, but I do know that if G729 is your first choice codec, asterisk will still negotiate g729 and then the call will simply fail. Major design flaw IMO…
