How do you use asterisk to handle Voicemail?

  • Just plain old check through the phone.
  • Have it sent to users in their e-mail.(without deleting off server)
  • Have it sent to users in their e-mail.(with deleting message off server)
  • Use IMAP storage for voice mail.

I wanted to see how you all use Asterisk to handle voice mail. Please vote on what you use or multiple uses.

-Just plain old check through the phone.

-Use IMAP storage for voice mail.

-Use ODBC for voice mail storage.

Right now I use the 1st and the second. I am trying to get IMAP working and wanted to see how others were handling it.

Is it actually possible to get Asterisk to delete the voicemail messages once they are emailed? Because that would be handy.

Yep its the “delete” option. define it box by box
