I have managed to get Voicemail working. I can leave messages, call into mailboxes to access messages, delete messages, etc.
However I wanted to receive email notifications with audio attachments. My voicemail.conf looks like this:
[general]
format=wav49|wav serveremail=voicemail@shifteight.org
attach=yes
skipms=3000
maxsilence=10
silencethreshold=128
maxlogins=3
emaildateformat=%A, %B %d, %Y at %r
pagerdateformat=%A, %B %d, %Y at %r
sendvoicemail=yes ; Allow the user to compose and send a voicemail while inside
Such a lazy answer. Obviously I tried that first. There aren’t any suitable tutorials out there that I could find, hence why I’m in an Asterisk support forum.
Since this is a system configuration this is not related with asterisk at all.
If you expect step by step configurations to make copy and paste in your system then move your thread to the JOB forum and hire a consultant.
That’s the whole reason why I asked the question. To discover where this issue lies (Asterisk or system). I’m not running a business I’m just exploring Asterisk out of interest. If you don’t have the time to help answer peoples questions or if you think they should be charged for replies then don’t bother commenting, simple!
Obviously I don’t expect anyone to write a step by step guide but this is a SUPPORT forum. Why be so arrogant? Get a life!
I’m not so sure this is a Asterisk question/problem!
But can you from your system send a mail out from the address “voicemail@shifteight.org” (or any address) to an external email address?
Do you get any error in you asterisk or maillog when it is supposed to send out an voicemail?
