Voicemail problems asterisk 1.4

G’day all,
I have asterisk 1.4 running but every time a voicemail is left or one of the unavailable/busy etc messages are recorded the files are immediately removed from the voicemail directory.

I can’t for the life of me work out why its doing this.

Anyone have any ideas on how to troubleshoot this?

Well I worked it out.

I had odbc modules being built but had not configured them

I removed them from the config (make menuselect uncheck res_odb and ODBC storage for voicemail) re compiled and all was happy
